Use this helper/guide to create/update/manage food on Uppu Karam.
What is “Sort Column” on food?
This is a number field. Depending on the number entered here, the food on the menu will sort in ascending order (small-to-big) on the customer app. Please make sure to enter a smaller number for the most popular food in your shop so that they will be displayed on the top.
What is “Category” & “Sub Category” on food?
Please make sure to select the appropriate category & sub category for the food. Customers will use the category & sub category filters on the app to narrow their search, so we have to make sure to categorize the food appropriately.
What is “HSN & GST %”?
We have to show the HSN code & GST % for food on the order tax invoice. Please select it either from the list or enter the HSN code & GST % manually. The prices that are entered in the price list table on the food screen are inclusive of taxes, so we will do the GST calculation on the order tax invoice based on the GST % entered here.
What is “Popular” checkbox?
Food that is marked “Popular” will be displayed under popular section of the shop screen & menu screen.
What is “Door Delivery” checkbox?
If the shop offers “Door Delivery”, this will be auto selected. You may choose to uncheck if you don’t offer door delivery on individual items.
What is “Domestic Shipping” checkbox?
If the shop offers “Domestic Shipping”, this will be auto selected. You may choose to uncheck if you don’t offer domestic shipping on individual items.
What is “International Shipping” checkbox?
If the shop offers “International Shipping”, this will be auto selected. You may choose to uncheck if you don’t offer international shipping on individual items.
What is “In Stock” checkbox?
This is auto check by default. Uncheck if a food is out of stock. Customers can still see this food on the app with “Out of Stock” label, but it will be unavailable to add to the cart.
What is “Active” Checkbox?
This is auto checked by default. This means you are actively selling this food. If you stop selling a food, uncheck the active check box. In-active food won’t be shown to customer.
Food price list table
Unit – Options are gm, kg, ml & l. Please make sure to accurately select the unit. This will be considered for domestic & international shipping orders to calculate the shipping cost.
Weight – This is the food weight. This will be considered for domestic & international shipping orders to calculate the shipping cost.
Price (incl. tax) – This is the cost of the food. Please enter the amount including tax. This is a required field.
Discount Price (incl. tax) – This is the discounted price of the food. Please enter the amount including tax. We will display box the original price (strike off) & discount price to customer. This is a optional field.
Count – This is a optional field. For ex, you may enter count 5 for a 250gm laddu. This means customer will receive total 5 laddu’s in a 250gm laddu order.
Default – We will display the default weight & price line to the customer.
