Use this helper/guide to create/update/manage extras on Uppu Karam.
What is “Sort Column” on extras?
This is a number field. Depending on the number entered here, the extras on the food will sort in ascending order (small-to-big) on the customer app. Please make sure to enter a smaller number for the most popular extras so that they will be displayed on the top.
What is “HSN & GST %”?
We have to show the HSN code & GST % for extras on the order tax invoice. Please select it either from the list or enter the HSN code & GST % manually.
What is “Price (incl. tax)”?
This is the cost of the extra. Please enter the amount including tax. This is a required field.
What is the “Food” field on extras?
Select every food item that an extra is applicable. Instead of creating an extra for each food item, simply add every applicable food item. These extras will be available to the customer for selection while adding a food to the cart.
What is “Extras Group”?
This is to group extras on a food. Instead of displaying every extra as a list on the food, this will group extras together. For ex, extras group can be weight, taste, size, etc.
What is “Unit”, “Weight” & “Count”?
Unit – Options are gm, kg, ml & l. Please make sure to accurately select the unit. This will be considered for domestic & international shipping orders to calculate the shipping cost.
Weight – This is the extra weight. This will be considered for domestic & international shipping orders to calculate the shipping cost.
Count – This is a optional field. For ex, you may enter count 5 for a 100gm chicken pickle. This means customer will receive additional 5 chicken pieces to the chicken pickle order.
What is “Active” checkbox?
This is auto checked by default. This means you are actively selling this extra. If you stop selling an extra, uncheck the active check box. In-active extras won’t be shown on the food.
NOTE: If an extra was added to multiple food items, and you would like to remove the extra from just one food item, then simply remove that food from the “Food” field instead of marking the extra completely In-active.
