I am a customer. How do I find a seller, and how do I order? How does it work?

Hello customer. Good to see you here on Uppu Karam 😊

Steps are very simple:

  • Install “Uppu Karam” app on your Android or iPhone.
  • Search and find your favorite seller.
  • Add food to your cart, and select Shipping/Door Delivery/Pickup.
  • Place your order by making the payment at checkout.
  • You will be notified on the app with order status update.
  • Next? Enjoy your food 😋
  • Oh wait, we will be very happy if you can review 👍🏽 your order.
How do I order from the website?

Searching & placing orders can be done only from the App.

What are my delivery options at checkout?

Depending on the seller, you have the following options: Domestic Shipping, International Shipping, Door Delivery or Pickup. On the app, you will be prompted to select your delivery address, and we will only show shops that are relevant to your address.

Additional information about the delivery options can be found on the shop screen.

Can I place a door delivery or pickup order?

Depending on the seller, they may offer shop pickup and/or door deliver within the specified distance from the shop’s location. Please check the shop screen on the app for additional details like the distance they deliver, delivery charges, minimum order for delivery & minimum order for free delivery.

Can I place a domestic or international shipping order?

Depending on the seller, they may offer domestic shipping and/or international shipping. Please check the shop screen on the app for additional details like the state/country they ship, shipping charges by state/country, minimum order for shipping & minimum order for free shipping. The estimated delivery for domestic/international shipping can also be found on the shop screen.

Please refer to the shipping policy on the shop screen regarding damages or customs fee during shipping.

How are door delivery or shipping orders fulfilled?

Door Delivery: For door delivery orders, sellers will fulfill the delivery by physically delivering the order to your address on the date & time specified on the order.

Shipping: For Domestic/International shipping orders, sellers will ship the order directly to your address with their preferred courier partner. You can find the Sellers preferred courier partner names and delivery duration on the shop screen on the customer app.

How do I get notified about the status of my order?

You will be notified on the app as well as an email will be sent for every status update.

How do I track my domestic or international shipping orders?

Once the seller ships your order, they will update the order with the tracking number. Once the tracking number is updated, you will have “Track” option under the order to track the current status of the shipment. There can a few hours delay in updating this status.

What is the order cancellation & refund policy?

Order Cancellation Policy: Orders can be cancelled anytime before the seller changes the order status to preparing. Once the seller changes the status to preparing, you won’t be able to cancel the order. For any help with order cancellation, please contact customer service.

Refund Policy: For canceled orders, it will take between 5-7 business days to process the refund. For refund related to the missing items or dis-satisfaction, please contact the customer service. Once we receive your refund request, please allow 48 to 72 hrs for Uppu Karam to respond to your request. Once the refund request is approved, we will process the refund between 5-7 business days from the day of approval. No Returns or Exchanges.

How do I cancel my order?

You may cancel the order at anytime as long as it is in the “Order Received” status. Once there is a change in order status, you won’t be able to cancel the order.

If the order is in “Order Received” status, you will have “Cancel” option under the order. Click cancel & provide the reason for cancellation. This should cancel the order & the refund will be processed within 5-7 business days.

How do I make changes to my order?

Once the order is placed, you won’t be able to make changes. You can cancel the order as long as it is in “Order Received” status.

Where is my order? I paid for the order, but never received, what should I do?

We are sorry that you didn’t receive your order. We will make sure to do everything to fix the issue.

If you haven’t contacted the seller yet, please do by either calling the seller (the phone number should be available on the shop page in the app).

If you contacted the seller, but haven’t received a response, then contact us by clicking here. For faster response, please provide the order number. Please allow 48-72hrs for us to resolve the issue.

I canceled the order, when do I get my refund?

Once the order is canceled, depending on the bank’s processing time, it can take 5-7 business days for the refunds to reflect in your bank account or card balance.

I am not satisfied with my order, how do I get a partial/full refund?

We are sorry to hear that you are not happy with your order. Please contact us by clicking here.For faster response, please provide the order number & the describe the reason for the refund. Please allow 48-72hrs for us to respond to your email.

I need an Invoice for my order, how do I get it?

Once an order is placed, you will receive an email with the Invoice as an attachment. Alternatively, you can also find the invoice from the app by accessing “My Orders” screen, and then by clicking “View” on the respective order. Once you are on the order details screen, click the “Invoice” option to view the invoice.

Can I become a seller and open a shop?
